  Summation Tutorial:

Searching within Existing Search Results

  Overview:

From the Case Folder - Main Window you can do a Quick Search of transcripts, notes, document summaries, and/or full text (ocrBase) documents, or a Fuzzy Search of transcripts and/or full text documents. Then, you can create another search to run on just your existing search results. This allows you to drill down into your data and pinpoint exactly what you are looking for.

  1. From the Case Folder - Main Window, run a Quick Search or a Fuzzy Search using the Search Box in the tool bar.

  2. After the search is complete, click once anywhere in the Context Area of the Search Results Window. You can also search the contents of the Search Results Window after canceling the first search.

  3. Create and run another Quick Search or Fuzzy Search by typing the search word or phrase in the Search Box and clicking on the Search Binoculars or the Fuzzy Search button (depending upon the type of search you want to run).

  4. The first hit is highlighted in the context area of the Search Results window. To find the next hit, click on the binoculars or the Fuzzy Search button again.
