The following solution was shared by one of our customers (thanks Rachel!). It describes the steps required to export a WordPerfect 8 document to ASCII with line numbers. The document, once saved, can then be loaded into Summation as a transcript.

1. Get all patches for Win95/98 and WP8 (Service Pack 5).
   
   
2. Load Generic Text driver for Windows95.
   
   
3. Print (the WordPerfect document) to file (*.prn) using the Generic driver. You can load it into Summation without creating any hard page breaks or line breaks before printing to file. If someone wants to view the file without checking it in Summation the WordPerfect File viewer should show it.
