  Summation Tutorial:

Saving and Retrieving Layouts

Tutorial Overview:

Summation provides you with pre-designed "General Layouts" for easy access to your preferred Summation views and efficient program navigation. Summation provides you the flexibility of organizing Summation views (or windows) in formats that best fit your workflow. These layout settings can be customized and saved for future sessions by users for individual use or for sharing with other network users. Saving layouts as "General Layout" will make them available in cases other than the one they are saved in.

Tutorial Steps

Saving Layouts

Steps

  1. Open the Summation case where you want to save your layouts.

  2. Organize the Summation views (e.g. Core Database Column View, Image View, ocrBase View, eDocs View) in a format that makes it working in Summation easy and comfortable for you.

  3. Open the "LAYOUTS" menu by clicking on the Layouts Tool button.

  4. Select the “Save Layout” option. The Save Layout dialog opens.

  5. Type a brief descriptive name for the new layout and click the "Save" button.

The newly saved layout will appear under the “Layout” folder under the “Case Tools” folder in the Case Explorer tree.

You can organize the layouts in the “Layouts” folder by dragging them and dropping them in the desired order.
