Below, please find installation instructions for your Summation Blaze Version 5.2 integrated litigation support software system. Please understand that Summation Blaze 5.2 was designed for a Windows 95/98 or Windows NT 4.0+ environment. Given the memory and resource allocation limitations of the Windows 3.1 platform, it is no longer possible to enhance Summation and remain compatible with the Windows 3.1 environment. If you install Summation Blaze Version 5.2 in a Windows 3.1 environment, the program will give you a warning. If you choose to install Version 5.2 in a Windows 3.1 environment, it is VERY IMPORTANT to note that technical support will not be offered.

Steps

1. Launch Microsoft Windows.
   
   
2. Insert disc in CD-Rom drive (usually drive D).
   
   
3. The setup will begin automatically. (If the setup does not begin, from Windows go to START, select RUN, type in the following command "D:\SETUP", "D" representing your CD Rom drive.) You will be presented with a menu of options. Please take this opportunity to review some new features in Summation Blaze 5.2. You can view "how-to" videos on Summation Realtime, as well as demonstrations of new add-on products, CaseScan² and Replibase. (These videos include narration, so are best viewed with an audio-enabled PC!)
   
   
4. When you are ready to proceed with the installation, select Install Version 5.2 from the menu. Please read the information provided here, as it will impact the rest of the install.
   
   
5. The InstallShield will then guide you through the remainder of the installation.

Select the appropriate type of install: a) First Time or Trade-Up b) Demo c) Upgrade

6. If you are installing Summation for the first time or installing a trade-up: You will be prompted to enter your SERIAL NUMBER. It is located on the sleeve of your CD-ROM. Enter it exactly as it appears here, complete with hyphens and letters. If you are upgrading from an earlier version of Summation, no serial number will be required, proceed to the next step.
   
   
7. You’ll then be prompted where to install the program.
   
   If you’re installing Summation for the first time: The default location is C:\SW52. Click on the Browse button if you wish to select a different location.
   
   If you’re installing a trade-up or upgrading from an earlier version of Summation: You need to Browse to the location of your current version of Summation and install 5.2 in the same directory. The installation will not continue until a valid directory has been specified.
   
   
8. When the install is complete, run Summation Blaze
