Below, please find installation instructions for your new Summation Blaze Version 5.21 integrated litigation support software system. Please understand that Summation Blaze 5.21 was designed for a Windows 95B/98 or Windows NT 4.0 environment. Given the memory and resource allocation limitations of the Windows 3.1 platform, it is no longer possible to
enhance Summation and remain compatible with the Windows 3.1 environment. If you install Summation Blaze Version 5.21 in a Windows 3.1 environment, the program will give you a warning. If you choose to install Version 5.21 in a Windows 3.1 environment, it is VERY IMPORTANT to note that technical support will not be offered.
- Launch Microsoft Windows.
- Insert disc in CD-Rom drive (usually drive D).
- The setup will begin automatically. (If the setup does not begin, from Windows go to START, select RUN, type in the following command "D:\SETUP", "D" representing your CD-Rom drive.) You will be presented with a menu of options. Please take the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the Tutorial -- Getting Started option.
- When you are ready to proceed with the installation, select Install Summation Blaze from the menu. Please read the information provided here, as it will impact the rest of the install.
- The InstallShield will then guide you through the remainder of the installation. If you are installing for the first time or adding new features to your existing Summation, you will need to enter your Serial Number. Your Serial Number is located on the sleeve of your CD-ROM. Enter it exactly as it appears here, complete with hyphens and letters.
- Next you'll be prompted where to install the program. The default location is C:\SW52. Click on the Browse button to select a different location. Very Important: If you are upgrading Summation, browse to your existing Summation directory and select it.
- When the install is complete, run Summation Blaze. Take a moment and go to Help Menu, and review the options. To review the new features in 5.21, select Summation, New Features. Visit our Technical Support Web page, by selecting from the program Technical Support Tips found under the Help menu.
