Changing Note Type Descriptions (Note Tool Tips’ Text)

  First, you will need to add a [NOTES] section to your SWCASE.INI file. This file can be found in your case directory, and to add a new section it is easiest to modify the file using Notepad or WordPad.

Under the new [NOTES] section, type “NoteType1=” (without quotes) and the text you want to appear in the first note type’s tool tip. Thus, if you want the first note type, “Standard Note” by default, to read “Contradiction in Terms”, your [NOTES] section would look like this:

[NOTES]
NoteType1=Contradiction in Terms

You can change the types of all five note types in this manner. Any note type not specifically modified by the user will remain at its default value.

Note: You must reopen your case to see the changes.

As indicated by the fact that this parameter exists in SWCASE.INI, this is a case-specific setting and may be changed for each case as appropriate.
